DAY 2 – MARRAKECH – AÏT BENHADDOU – TINGHIR (375 KM)

Start your day with an exciting journey through the Atlas Mountains south of Marrakech. Ascend to the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2260 meters above sea level, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Descend to the renowned Aït Benhaddou, a remarkable fortified village that should not be missed. After lunch, continue your adventure along the enchanting Rose Valley, named for its beautiful rose gardens. Reach Tinghir, where you’ll have the chance to meet a skilled date picker in the impressive palm grove, flourishing amidst the arid landscape with ingenious irrigation. Relax and savor a delightful dinner in an encampment under the starlit sky.

DAY 3 – TINGHIR – MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI (200 KM)

Embark on an eastern journey where snow-capped mountain peaks still grace the horizon, heading towards Erfoud on the edge of the desert. Enjoy a picnic on the road as your Sahara expedition takes you to Merzouga and the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes. Your guide will share insights into the nomadic lifestyle, a pastoralist society that you may encounter along the trail. Spend the night in a bivouac amidst the sand dunes, a truly unforgettable experience.

Cross the desert plateau to reach the magnificent palm groves of Zagora, a magical place adorned with ksours. Stop in Zagora to purchase ingredients for dinner, immersing yourself in the bustling market and the art of haggling guided by your cook.
